Alan served in the Royal Navy for 24 years as a Royal Naval Commando Medic with the Royal Marines. This background coupled with his experience in Mountain & Arctic Warfare enabled a smooth transition into the oil industry and his first job on a project in Siberia for three years. Alan has worked on various projects around the world since then and has been actively involved in medical training for a number of years with a particular interest in remote area medicine. Currently a crew member on the Montrose Lifeboat Alan is also involved in providing training to Mountain Rescue Teams and is actively involved in projects such as the new concept Autonomous Rescue & Recovery Craft for the BP Jigsaw Project while continuing to maintain an interest in all areas of pre hospital care. When not working Alan enjoys hill walking and sailing.

Yvonne is an A&E nurse who has recently qualified as an Offshore Medic and joined the Medical Training Unit as a Training Officer. Yvonne is an experienced nurse who is looking forward to gaining offshore experience to add to her portfolio of unique experience. Having served in Iraq recently with the Territorial Army Yvonne is enjoying the training experience and the challenges that lay ahead. Yvonne enjoys hill walking, sailing and jogging in her spare time.

Dr. Oliko Asatiani graduated from the Medical University of Georgia, initially specialising in Paediatrics. Having later developed an interest in Emergency Medicine, Oliko was invited to join a private Emergency Medical Service (EMS) in Tbilisi, Georgia from which Pre-Hospital Care became her next area of specialisation.
After a period of front line medicine, Oliko was invited to become and Instructor in EMS for which she undertook for 12 years and during that time has been instrumental in developing a number of pre-hospital projects and lecturing around the world including USA, UK, Israel, and Russia.
Prior to joining the Capita Medical Team, Oliko was Head of Department and played a lead role in Information Management & Continuous Education in the National Medical Centre of Georgia. Promoting EMS and teaching to evidenced based research in pre-hospital care, with a specific interest in remote area medicine is currently her main focus, while developing new skills in Occupational Health.

Karen has had an interesting career to date first serving in the communications branch of the Royal Navy during which time she served in various establishments throughout the UK, including the Nuclear Submarine Base at Faslane and the Joint Services & NATO HQ, Northwood. A career break ensued to raise a family after which Karen went straight back to college were she gained a creditable HNC in Public Administration. A chance meeting brought Karen into medical training some 10 years ago where she has been responsible for the coordination, administration and development of this busy medical training unit ever since, helping to deliver our courses both in the UK and overseas.
