Advanced Life Support Skills (Rescue)
Building upon our experience of delivering ALSS courses to health care professionals over the last 10 years we are currently developing a similar course aimed at those personnel who are members of rescue teams and may require more advanced skills. Ideally participants will have a sound knowledge in First Aid and will have a Mountain Rescue, Lifeboat, Fire & Rescue or similar background. The aim of the course is to achieve a more advanced skill level in pre-hospital care and raise the standard of treatment in difficult situations while observing best practice and competence in evidence based protocols.
Advanced training has already been delivered to Mountain Rescue Teams, Fire Teams, Autonomous Rescue & Recovery Craft Crews and others, it is therefore our intention to ensure consistency and seek approval from The Faculty of pre-Hospital Care, The Royal College of Surgeons, Edinburgh as with our current ALSS courses.
